Cubby house cool

Two noisy and energetic boys and a newborn baby do not mix. We needed to get those crazy kids out of the house and into the backyard, where the surrounding bushland drowns out their noise. It was time for a cubby house. With a wow-factor extension like this, a stock standard cubby was never going to cut it.  So we called in Chris Byrne, of Chopstick & Kilt and Left Hand Make fame…

… and here is the result!

Lots of windows for peeking and/or climbing through. The entire front section is made from reinforced glass, allowing lots of natural light .

A magnetic blackboard was achieved with magnetic paint basecoat and blackboard paint topcoat. All the better for drawing volcanoes…

Barn style doors at the rear, table and chairs to sit and watch the view, and you can yell to your hearts content!
